This is the origin record: a story about distance, technology, infrastructure, and the human work required to make a future feel real.

01 — Where it started
I grew up in Nigeria, where owning a home is one of the greatest dreams many families have. But I also watched that dream become unnecessarily difficult: people leaving the country, sending money home to build, and still being unable to truly see what was happening.
Projects stalled. Families disagreed over money. Photographs arrived without certainty. I began to realise something.
The biggest problem was not always construction.

A Nigerian living in London, a Rwandan living in Toronto, or an investor sitting thousands of kilometres away should still be able to understand what is happening to something they own. The answer is not more reassurance. It is better evidence.

04 — Proof before promises

Remote build journeys supported
A founder-provided measure of people helped with remotely managed apartment and home projects. It is a starting point for accountability, not a victory lap.
If a project matters enough to build, it matters enough to make visible: payments, milestones, people, assets, and location.
05 — Before Awaken
Global hospitality technology
Technology taught me that a physical experience can be completely transformed by the digital systems surrounding it. At Sonder, I contributed to a mobile-first hospitality experience designed around the guest journey. That lesson eventually became important to Awaken: if software can transform the way someone experiences a stay, it can transform how someone builds a home.
Global petcare technology
Building technology within a global ecosystem reinforced something simple: when people depend on your software in the real world, reliability is not optional.
Public infrastructure
Highway Development and Management Initiative
For the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in Nigeria, I served as a core developer and technical lead on the digital platform supporting the initiative, leading the core technical implementation of the bidding experience and web platform.
The first-phase programme context: 12 major federal highway corridors opened to private-sector participation through a public procurement process. Project value is not personal compensation or Awaken revenue.
