Materials & colour

    Layered sheet; widely used for carcasses. Grade and moisture rating vary by supplier — confirm before wet areas.

  • MDF

    Smooth, paints well; standard MDF is not for wet areas — moisture-resistant grades exist.

  • HDF

    Thin dense board, typical for backs and drawer bottoms.

  • Solid timber

    Species, drying and local availability drive suitability — your carpenter confirms.

  • Engineered timber

    Laminated timber sections; dimensionally steadier than solid in many uses.

  • Walnut veneer

    Thin real-wood face over board; colour varies by batch.

  • Oak veneer

    Thin real-wood face over board.

  • Laminate

    Printed decorative surface; wipeable.

  • Lacquer paint

    Painted finish; any colour; touch-ups possible.
